Stay a While...

We want all of our celebration guests, friends and family, to be safe the night of our celebration.  As there will be much eating, dancing, and some drinking until about 11:30pm, we have made accommodations at the nearby Hyatt Regency hotel to reserve a block of rooms at a discounted rate.  If you would like to stay over, please visit this website:  https://resweb.passkey.com/go/RobertiCampbellWedding or call 1-888-421-1442 and ask for Roberti-Campbell Wedding.

The discounted rate is $112 per night.  Feel free to share the room, as they have double beds.  There is also a beautiful bar at the hotel, and a restaurant for breakfast the next morning.

The deadline for registering under the block rate is May 24th!

Oops!

By now you're probably getting our invitations and getting ready to send  back your RSVP's - HOWEVER - please send your RSVP's back in an envelope, not just as a postcard.  Sorry for the inconvenience, it seems that it's a teensy bit too small for the post office. (I guess we had too much faith in the post office being lenient on a half inch!)

Again, sorry for the inconvenience!  We are still under the impression that good things come in little packages! :)

Music!!

What song would you love to hear at our celebration?  Have a shout out?  Let us know so we can include it!  Of course, we have a ton of songs that we already know we want played for slow dancing, fast dancing, and for your enjoyment while you sip cocktails.  So your song may already be on our list... but it may also be something we never even heard of!  So comment below and let us know what you want to hear!

Here's a sample of some of the music we love from all sorts of genres:  Happy listening!

Registry

Friends and Family, we have registries!

Of course we are just happy celebrating our union with you all, but if you would like to give a present, we have registered in two places for your convenience.  If you feel like you understand our taste, feel free to deviate from the registries :)

We will add more things as we get more "into" it, so if it looks sparse today, check back in a month!

Attire

What should I wear to this off-beat event?
Consider the following:  Friday, June 24, 2011 - 3 wonderful days after the beginning of summer.  Hamilton, New Jersey - the middle of New Jersey (a warm and humid state with no conceivable breeze).  Amanda and Steve - two laid-back, free-spirited type people.
Put all these ingredients together and you have your answer!  We want our family and friends to be comfortable, breezy, and ready to have fun!  Don't feel hampered down by the social confines that tell you: "you MUST wear a dark suit" or "you MUST wear pantyhose and heels."  For men or women the attire is business casual (even though the only business going on will be getting down!)  Feel free to wear linen, short sleeves, sandals, dashiki, sari, sun dresses, rolled up sleeves, breathable fabric, sun hats, flowers in hair, oriental parasols, dress shirts, seersuckers, maxi dresses, khakis, light colored suits, newsboy caps, fedoras, etc.  Steve and I will be only slightly more dolled up than we usually are so feel free to follow suit.
Also feel free to leave at home: bow ties (unless you are trying to make a quirky statement), sky high heels, girdles, patent leather, heavy jackets.  Of the very casual attire, please definitely leave at home: shorts, sneakers, jeans, baseball caps.
Most importantly, be cool!  You will be spending time outside, in the splendor that is Sayen Garden's natural flora, and when you are inside the Sayen House, I expect you to be on that dance floor!  So dress accordingly :)
Be creative, be comfortable, be yourself!

FAQ

Here are some general facts about our celebration that you may have questions about, or would like to know:

  • The whole ceremony and celebration will take place at Sayen Gardens, in Hamilton, NJ.  We chose this location because the organic park and gardens speak to our love of nature.  Also, it is a wonderful middle-ground location for our family and friends from all over New Jersey and the Philadelphia area.  We will be sending out formal invitations with more information in a few months!
  • Due to the size of the house, and the time of day we will be celebrating, we had to limit our guestlist to adults only - 16 years old and up.  Ideally, we would have an infinite amount of space and the kids could stay up all hours of the night dancing and eating with us!   One can dream :)  Also, we want the adults in our family to have a relaxing and fun time.  Call it a date night!
  • There will be some pleasant surprises!  As many of you know, Steve and I are both unabashedly non-traditional people, so our ceremony and celebration will reflect that.
  • Though we are vegetarians, we respect others' eating habits and would never push our ideology on others.  Therefore, meat will be served at the buffet dinner - along with many other vegetarian and a few vegan options.
Those are just a few facts with more to come!

So You Got an STD!!

A "Save the Date" that is...

You received a save the date from us because we want you to know that we plan to celebrate our spiritual union with you!  We hope that you plant your seeds (after all this snow clears out!) and use them as a reminder of our day - that you will witness and celebrate our love and union with us!

We were so excited to send these save the dates out because it just makes this whole thing that much more real and fast-approaching!  It also was a reminder to us that we have so many beautiful family members and friends in our lives who we love very much and can't wait to celebrate with!
